CAREER SUMMARY for Richard Dunning

I have forty-one years of professional experience which began with working with the Logan County, Morgan County, and Weld County Sheriffs’ Office as a Deputy Sheriff. After completing my commitment to the LCSO I became the head investigator for the State of Colorado Public Defender’s Office for six counties in north-east Colorado and ultimately in Greeley, Denver, and Boulder, Colorado. My primary assignments usually included upper felony cases, such as homicide and aggravated felony assault, as well as personal injury, and other various civil cases.

I established a private investigation practice in Sterling, Greeley Boulder, Denver, Colorado Springs, and several other cities. My team primarily focused on Criminal Investigations, Personal Injury investigations, and background research and skip trace location. I expanded these offices to include Surety Bail Bonding, Bounty Hunting, and Process Service. During this time I was promoted to the State of Colorado supervising agent for Pioneer General Surety Insurance Company. My agency grew to become one of the largest Investigation companies within a five state region. I have worked with dozens of criminal and civil Law Firms and Agencies. I have testified in Court several hundreds of times due to Failure to Appear and Fugitive status. I have immensely enjoyed working with some of the best attorneys in the FBI, Attorney General and Private Sector across the county, with whom I respect ultimately.

I operate Dunning Investigations, LLC in Northern Colorado. I am currently a member of the Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado (PPIAC), which allows me access to the best adroit legal minds in our beloved country. I am licensed with the State of Colorado as a Senior Investigator.
